Assessment
Our Approach to Assessment
At Toronto Psychologists, we conduct thorough and personalized assessments to give you clear and meaningful insights into your mental health and functioning. We use only validated, and evidence-based assessment tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and the highest standard of professional care. Every assessment is tailored to your unique concerns, strengths, and goals.
We are currently offering assessments for adolescents and adults.
Psychoeducational Assessments
Psychoeducational assessments are a type of assessment that aims to obtain detailed information about an individual's cognitive and academic functioning, which can help to identify developmental, learning, or attention-related disorders, and intellectual giftedness. These comprehensive assessments help pinpoint areas of strength as well as areas that are needing support and/or intervention.
These types of assessments can be helpful for individuals looking for diagnostic clarification, or to obtain information regarding support needs for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for elementary and/or secondary school support, or college/university accommodations.

Autism Assessments
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental difference that shapes how an individual thinks, processes, and interacts with the world. At Toronto Psychologists, we understand that Autism can present in subtle and varied ways, especially for individuals who have learned to mask and camouflage these traits in social and professional settings. For this reason, our neurodiversity-affirming assessments are thorough and comprehensive to help us understand the full picture of your experiences.
Whether your seeking to better understand lifelong patterns, explore questions about identity, or access helpful resources, an Autism assessment can offer valuable clarity and direction. Our aim is to ensure that every client feels seen, heard, and understood throughout the process, and that the insights gained empower you to move forward with confidence and self-understanding.
ADHD Assessments
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental difference that that affects attention, motivation, activity regulation, and executive functioning. At Toronto Psychologists, we offer neurodiversity-affirming ADHD assessments that recognize the many ways activity regulation and executive functioning can vary from person to person. Additionally, our assessments take into account that ADHD can present differently across genders and life stages, and many individuals develop compensatory strategies that mask underlying challenges.
Whether you’re hoping to better understand lifelong patterns and/or challenges, explore questions around identity and functioning, or access supportive resources, an ADHD assessment can offer valuable insight and a clearer path forward.
